Costume Rental

Effective date: July 2021

^{Costumes are rented out for a 14 day period for a standard rate of $25 - $35/costume (not including shipping).}

^{In renting costumes or props from ZIND Performing Academy, the following terms and conditions apply:}

 

^{1. AGE: RENTER MUST BE 18 years OR OVER TO SCHEDULE OR MAKE A BOOKING.}

 

^{2.  RENTAL: Costumes/props may be picked up the business day prior to the event date. They are due back to the business day immediately following the event. If for any reason this day falls on a day that Backstage Closet is closed, items will be due back the next open business day. At pickup, the costume (including props/accessories, herein referenced as “Costume”) will be cleaned, in good repair, on hangers and in proper packaging to insure safe transport. Please return the items in the same manner.   A final invoice for damage, loss or extensive cleaning will be sent after the costumes are processed back into stock.}

 

^{3. DEPOSITS/PAYMENT: At the time of reservation, a NONREFUNDABLE deposit in the amount of 50% of the agreed rental fee will be due. The balance of such Rental Fee shall be paid at pickup of the costume(s).  The Renter’s credit/debit card will be required to be kept on file. Upon execution by Renter of this Agreement, Renter authorizes ZIND management to charge any fees or costs according to this Agreement.}

 

^{4. REFUNDS ON CANCELLATIONS: No refunds will be issued once a costume has been booked. This includes cancellation of the function, for whatever reason. Exchanges may be allowed on a case-by-case basis at the ZPA management’s sole discretion.}

 

^{5. THE LATE FEES: Late fees are applicable the next business day following the due date. The renter will incur a charge of $20/day past the stated return date.} 

 

^{6. DAMAGES: Stains, residue, odors, or environmental situations (pet hair, etc) that require care beyond the normal scope of laundering/cleaning WILL incur a $50/damaged costume to the individual, organization or school.} 

 

^{7. LOSS: Damages beyond reasonable repair (i.e. cigarette burns, permanent stains, excessive rips) will be considered a total loss (“Loss”) and the cost of the replacement value of the rental item(s) will be charged to Renter in an amount to be at ZIND's management’s sole discretion. In addition, the following circumstances shall also be considered a Loss:}

^{ A costume is returned beyond reasonable repair}

^{ The costume is returned needing specialized cleaning}

^{ The costume is returned with permanent damage (i.e. cigarette burns)}

^{ The costume is returned with one or more items missing}

^{ Any modifications have been carried out on the costume}

^{ The costume is returned with blood (or other body fluids)}

^{ The costume is not returned to ZIND for whatever reason}

^{ The costume is damaged beyond repair, including irremovable stains}

^{ The costume has been altered without the approval of ZIND Performing Academy.}

^{ The costume was cleaned and/or laundered by Renter without ZIND's management’s consent.}

 

^{8. RENTER STIPULATION: Below are some guidelines that we ask to be observed to avoid damage and fees incurred for such:}

^{ Do not clean or launder the costume(s)}

^{ Do not eat, drink or smoke in the costumes}

^{ When you wear your costume, please wear appropriate undergarments to protect the garments as much as possible from sweat and makeup damage.}

^{ Please do not attempt to make alterations to any garment or prop unless it is approved by ZIND academy during the appointment. We will work with you to allow minor alterations that we can take out upon return.}

^{ Renter must not attach sticky labels, badges or tape of any kind to any part of their costume nor pin, sew, glue or iron any costume that is hired.}
