Working A Full Time Job While Teaching Dance
Feb 02, 2024
Balancing a full-time job while pursuing your passion isn't easy. Fortunately, we've been fortunate to have dedicated instructors who not only continue their love for dance but also share it with others. Exploring personal interests can be challenging for many, but we consider ourselves fortunate to have a clear understanding of ours. Although juggling a full-time job and teaching dance on the side can be challenging, it's worth it. The responsibilities include preparing students for performances, which goes beyond teaching routines to managing costumes, sizing, props, formations, clean-up, extra practice sessions, and coordinating reporting times, performance schedules, and details like hair, makeup, and jewelry.
On the flip side, this endeavor serves as a creative outlet for us. In our classes, we have the freedom to explore our creative sides, drawing from nostalgic experiences of our own upbringing, whether it was dancing in a classroom or with friends. One undeniable aspect is that when we witness our students confidently performing on stage, bringing to life a routine that initially existed only in our minds, all the effort becomes immensely rewarding.
