Bollywood Dance At The Cherry Blossom Festival

As the warmth of spring draws near, we can't help but get excited for one of our absolute favorite times of the year. It's a bustling semester ahead filled with performances, students, costumes, and, of course, lots of dancing!

Last year, we were beyond thrilled to be part of the Cherry Blossom Festival – a dream come true for us and our amazing students! Living here in the DMV area, this event holds a special place in our hearts, and seeing our students shine amidst the blossoms was an unforgettable experience.

Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is the Cherry Blossom Festival? Well, it all began with a heartfelt gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Tokyo to Washington, DC back in 1912, symbolizing the enduring friendship between the US and Japan. Today, the Festival has blossomed into a month-long celebration, attracting millions of visitors who come to revel in the beauty of the cherry blossoms and soak up the rich tapestry of arts, culture, and community spirit.

Throughout the festivities, our diverse hometown truly shines, with different organizations and vendors showcasing their talents and treasures to the world.

We feel incredibly lucky to have been part of it all, with nearly all our classes getting the chance to showcase their talents. These moments, filled with laughter, joy, and shared accomplishments, are what make all the hard work worthwhile. It's a memory our students will hold dear for years to come – performing at the nation's Cherry Blossom Festival is truly a milestone to remember! 🌸
