When Should I Start Dancing?
Feb 06, 2024
We get this question all the time: "When is the best age to start dancing?" Well, we recently dropped our minimum age requirement from 5 to 4 years old because kids nowadays are so eager and advanced. Our rule of thumb? If they can handle the bathroom solo, they're ready to dance!
Speaking from my own experience, I started dancing around age 6, and it's been a lifelong passion (yeah, I'm giving away my age here, haha!). But let me tell you, the earlier, the better! As I've shared in our blogs, dance isn't just about fun; it builds essential life skills like consistency, confidence, teamwork, and more.
But here's the real scoop: there's no "right" age to start dancing. Seriously! I've seen students from age 5 to 50+ rocking the dance floor and gaining those same awesome skills at every stage of life. It's never too late to learn routines, freshen up skills or get on stage. It's not about what you can do for dance; it's about what dance can do for you. And trust me, age doesn't change that one bit!
